Edinho Santa Cruz presents the concerts NA ESTRADA DO ROCK IN CONCERT and ENCONTROS.
NA ESTRADA DO ROCK IN CONCERT brings Pink Floyd, Joe Cocker, Paul McCartney, The Beatles, Doobie Brothers, Queen, Dire Straits, Deep Purple, Creedence, James Brown, Rolling Stones, Eagles, Van Halen, Steppenwolf, Elvis Presley and Led Zeppelin. In addition, the audience will be able to hear the classics “Concert for a Voice” by Saint Preux, “How Can I Go On”, by Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballé, “Nessun Dorma” from Puccini, and “Phantom of the Opera”. The project resulted in the live recording of the CD and DVD “Na Estrada do Rock In Concert”, with an orchestra, released by Universal Music.
ENCONTROS is an eclectic and engaging concert, which brings different styles, with songs that marked times and his 50-year career. During the presentation, the audience relives the big names of music, such as the Ray Connif and Glenn Muller orchestras, the Bee Gees, Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, James Brown, Tim Maia, Luiz Gonzaga, Adoniran Barbosa, Jorge Ben, Raul Seixas, beyond the root of samba, bossa nova, and the best of national and international rock.
JOGO DO SILÊNCIO is a completely original work and unlike anything that Edinho Santa Cruz has done. The idea came from the desire to mark his 54-year career, showing some of his instrumental compositions, inspired by his own history and by the great masters of Brazilian music, such as Villa-Lobos, Zequinha de Abreu, Dilermando Reis, Pixinguinha, Luiz Bonfá and Tom Jobim.
The DVD recording concert happened on April 19th, at Teatro Alfa, in São Paulo, with artistic direction by Del Rangel, musical direction by Jether Garotti, and executive producer by Erika Faria and Luana Faria.
In order to carry out the project, the artist invites the Heliopolis Symphony Orchestra, by the Baccarelli Institute, under the baton of Maestro Edilson Venturelli Souza, made up by 70 musicians from Heliopolis community.
